On September 22nd and 23rd Talizi Hair transplant Center has celebrated 20 years anniversary since opening of first hair transplantation clinic in Caucasian region. Clinic has hosted jubilee celebration conference followed by live surgery workshop with more than 100 guests, most of which were our trainees, friends and partners coming from different parts of the world.
Jubilee annual scientific meeting of International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons was held in Prague, Chez Republic on October 4-7, 2017. Talizi team was attending the conference. Talizi director MD Akaki Tsilosani, leading surgeons MD Vazha Vadachkoria, MD Eka Kandiashvili, MD Maria Gugava and head of training department Salome Vadachkoria have been actively involved in congress working process.
On 24-27thof August, 2016 the 6th Brazilian Congress of Hair Restoration Surgery was held in Curitiba, Brazil. The director Talizi Hair Transplant Center Akaki Tsilosani, MD, PHD, participated as an honorary invited foreign speaker.

Annual scientific meeting of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons was held in Chicago, Illinois on September 9-13, 2015. Delegates from Talizi hair transplant center, director of the clinic Dr. Akaki Tsilosani, leading surgeons Dr. Vazha Vadachkoria and Dr. Eka Kandiashvili, head of training department Salome Vadachkoria has been actively involved in congress working process.
On March 12, 2015, the head of Talizi training programs, Salome Vadachkoria, was invited by the head of a hair transplant clinic, Darius Alamut, to Düsseldorf, Germany, for the carrying out of training for the personnel of the clinic.
From October 8 through October 11, 2014, in the city of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, the 22nd annual Scientific Congress of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery took place. Georgia was represented by the Talizi Hair Transplant Clinic delegation, which included head of the clinic, Prof. Akaki Tsilosani, leading surgeons Vazha Vadachkoria and Eka Kandiashvili, and head of training programs, Salome Vadachkoriya.
On October 23-26, 2013, the XXI Regular Scientific Congress of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery took place in San Francisco. This year there was a record number of delegates: 681 participants! On April, 2012 in Talizi Clinic a hair transplant of unique scale took place. A total of 9,688 follicular units were been transplanted to the patient within 11 hours, and this is an absolute world record. Now we can see an intermediate results 6 months after hair transplant.
On October 17–20, 2012 the regular Congress of International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) met in the Bahamas in the Atlantis Hotel. On the Congress, Georgia was represented by the Talizi delegation on behalf of its director, Akaki Tsilosani, leading surgeon Vazha Vadachkoria and the manager of the training programs, Salome Vadachkoria. Over 650 delegates were at the Congress from many countries worldwide. 170 presentations on the basic issues and hair transplant problems were submitted during the four day convention.
The team of the Talizi Hair Transplant Center has accomplished a surgery accomplishment of unique volume – 9,688 follicular units (grafts) were transplanted in a single 11 hour FUT session. Until now, the highest amount of grafts was previously transplanted at the Hasson and Wong Hair Transplant Center which was 9,168 in a 15 hour single surgical session.

On September 14–18th, 2011 the 19th Congress of the International society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) was held in the capital of Alaska, in Anchorage. At the Congress, Georgia was represented by the “Talizi” delegation on behalf of its director, Akaki Tsilosani and the manager of the training program Salome Vadachkoria. The 450 delegates represented at the Congress had the opportunity to hear more than 150 reports devoted to the pressing questions of modern transplantology of hair during the four day program.
Between May 13 and 15, 2011, Istanbul hosted the regional congress of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), led by the famous transplantologist, Melike Kulahci. The congress examined the latest research in the field, including, the current and future potential for the creation of artificial follicles, and the use of extracellular matrices and a-cells. However, the main theme of the Congress was the seamless method of hair transplantation – the FUE method, a subject of great interest for Talizi.
A first of its kind operation was carried out at Talizi hair transplant center in October, 2010. It was unique in terms of the volume of hair transplanted, and because of the combination of methodologies used during the operation. An unprecedented 4200 grafts were successfully transplanted, restoring the hair of a 39-year old patient from France. The grafts were extracted from the occipital zone and from various parts of the body by the seamless FUE technique.
Dr. Akaki Tsilosani, director of Talizi hair transplant center, Vazha Vadachkoria, head surgeon at the clinic, and surgeon’s assistant Salome Vadachkoria all took part in the 18th annual scientific congress of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS). The event took place in Boston, USA, on October 20–24th, 2010.
The congress of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery – Haircon 2010 took place in India at the beginning of September, 2010. The head physician of Talizi hair transplant center, Dr. Akaki Tsilosani took part as guest of honor and co-chairman of the event.
On June 25-27, 2010 the regional congress of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) took place under the chairmanship of the famous Thai surgeon, Damkerng Pathomvanich. The congress was held in Bangkok and was attended by famous hair transplantologists from Asia and across the world. Attendees included: Sanjiv Vasa (India), Kenicharo Imagava (Japan), Bertam Ng (Hong Kong), Tom Hwan (Korea), Akaki Tsilosani (Georgia) and others.
Delegation from Talizi hair transplant center took part in the Annual Scientific Meeting of International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) on July 22–26, 2009 in Amsterdam. ISHRS annual meetings are generally held in America. Meeting in Amsterdam in this format for hair transplant surgeons was held for the second time.
The live video surgery workshop took place during a conference in Rome organized by the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS). The program was varied and interesting, with guests representing countries from all across the globe. Before the 20 surgeries streamed live across the world there was a set of lively discussions.
The international seminar sought to provide a forum for the exchange of practice between surgeon-transplantologists from Europe, Asia and America. Owing to fact that the seminar took place on the Asian continent, and that the issue is yet to receive adequate attention, We presented a report on “The specifications of hair transplantation in Asian patients”, based on observations made in Talizi in recent years.
